Middle Initials With and Without Periods, and Import Always Stopping on RE Records with Previously Added Duplicate Addresses
Hi. When we run Importomatic imports with lists that contain each individual's Raiser's Edge constituent id, the import goes really fast. Though, we sometimes get many popups that require user interaction that slow the import process down. The popups could be a "Compare Bio Field Value Changes" popup that has the middle name initial with a period and one that doesn't have period behind it. For example, the existing value could be "M" while the import value is "M." . No matter what setting we change on the import profile, it will not automatically ignore these where just a period is missing.
I wish there was a setting in the Importomatic profile that will let us adjust it, so that it does not see M and M. as two different things.
Also we get popups asking about matching the constituent's address, anytime the constituent RE record has two addresses that are the same. The importing value address may not even match the duplicate addresses on the RE record. No matter what import profile setting or similarity score we select, it will always give us a popup if the constituent for some reason already has 2 addresses that are the same. I wish there was a setting to ignore this popup, where it will not require user interaction anytime a record has duplicate addresses on it. Some of our RE records for one reason or another, may have an address on there twice. It could be someone made and error, or they added new addresses without checking what was already there. We have hundreds of thousands of Raiser's Edge records, and many may have a duplicate address. We may not have time to fix duplicated addresses, every time we import records with addresses. When we run the import, it will stop on a constituent if it has any type of duplicated address. This would be nice to have this fixed.
Can you maybe fix or change these things?
Thank you!
