Ideally there would be an option to re-calculate Calculated Recency ranges when you Refresh the profile.
Currently, you cannot refresh the date ranges derived from Calculated Recency without actually removing and replacing the hierarchy, and then doing a re-sort. So a saved Profile that uses a Calculated Recency hierarchy is actually useless, since you need to remember to remove/re-add the hierarchy each time and you're almost re-creating it from scratch. You also can't currently "work ahead" to build out segments, since the "zero date" remains fixed on the insertion date.
