Currently we have a system wide update that runs on Sundays. The system wide update changes/adds attributes which makes every record we have active. When we go to run weekly it brings in over 500,000 records because of the Sunday system wide update. In turn this not only slows our formula and update down but it slows down other formulas as well. If there was way to run on weekdays only when people are updating records and not the system updating records that would make it easier to commit to an auto schedule.

Our org likes to keep track of where people came from i.e. Source code and subsource code. Some of our formulas have to be manually run by people since the type is file upload. The work around I found for adding fields only for new people is to have two formulas but some of our files are big enough it takes us double the processing time to run two formulas. While two formulas work in the short term it also means if I have to fix or add something I have to fix it in both which then tends to get lost. Adding in a "for only new" field would change my processes and save time in the long run.

Currently we have a transformation that combines city and province to check if the province is local and if not replace with Out of province but if the province or city are blank then replace with Blank Address. If none of those are matched it drops the province and proceeds to match the city with the 750 options I have setup for each of our branches. Some branches have 2 lines and some have 50 lines as we also include common spelling errors in our check it takes just over 2 hours to setup the whole transformation. Essentially the goal is to have either the branch, out of province, or blank address spit out in the end. I now have it set up for each formula so when I make a new one I can just copy a current formula but if I have to make a change to the formula I have to go through over 16 formulas to ensure I update all of them. Having a repository would significantly decrease the update time and would allow me to start a formula from scratch instead of modifying existing ones.
