Changing address type when new address is found
In ImportOmatic, when a new address is imported for an existing constituent, there is the ability for the user to determine how the outdated address' type should be changed in Raiser's Edge (e.g. it can be changed from "Home" to "Previous Address") In order to keep data clean and differentiated after imports, I wish that Omatic had a similar functionality.

there are important functionality gaps that need to be addressed. Specifically, the ability to automatically archive existing data—such as outdated addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers—while adding updated information is essential. This capability is a fundamental requirement for maintaining accurate and reliable constituent records and should be included as a standard feature within the product.

This functionality is so important- without this, we will end up with multiple addresses on a record that appear current, resulting in after the fact cleanup.

For our organization, we import addresses from the university's main system. Knowing someone's address history can be very helpful in researching and identifying constituents. We don't want to lose the functionality of losing the ability to archive historical addresses.

in addition to changing the type, when closing an address fill in the 'To Date' and uncheck 'send mail'.
