Build a Connector to Banner
Many educational institutions use Banner as their Student information system. Getting a connection from Banner to The Raiser's Edge is something I think many higher education institutions would be in favor of, including ours.

Connector for Magento ecommerce platform
We have a "gift shop" online via the Magento ecommerce platform. We currently download and import those files using ImportOmatic. It would be great if there was a connector that did this for us automatically.

Conditionally preserve status and participation
Please include an option to conditionally preserve current Status and Participation.
In our organisation, certain Status and Participation types take priority, so it would be nice to be able to tell ImportOmatic: “If the constituent's current registrant status is Registered, keep that field as it is”. or “If the constituent's current participation type is Gold Bond, don’t overwrite it with Own Place”. We would happily settle for the records to be treated as exceptions. i.e. “If the constituent's current participation type is Gold Bond, treat as an exception” or “If the constituent's current registrant status is Registered, treat as an…

allow for the updating of existing gift aid declaraton comments field
IOM does not currently allow the updating of the comments field on a gift aid import eg where we have had a batch of documents scanned & want to update the scanned documents exist indicator & also put a note in the comments indicating what file the scanned document is held in eg GA Scans Apr 2015

Portion Subject to Tax Bug
It looks like you can't import data to the Tax tab of a Gift record in RE. For some reason you can't import to the Portion Subject to Tax field. We think it may be a Raiser's Edge issue. As we now import from retail outlets on a weekly basis, we have to use Excel for this instead.

Allow tabbing/scrolling through record types with first letter
When assigning a mixture of record types to a profile, it ought to be possible to jump to a group and needed to select an Action, then Action Atribute Description, then Action Attribute Comments, you should be able to hit 'A' on your keyboard, to jump to Actions,then keep hitting 'A' to scroll through the rest of the As,

Checkbox For Show Exception Report
ImportOmatic asks if you would like to see an exception report, but not if Skip Rows Requiring User Interaction is checked.
Support said that option is for unattended importing.
Some of us use it as a quick-and-dirty means of importing.
It would be nice if a checkbox was included, so that we could choose to see that exception report.1 vote -
Convert ZIP to city and state
Add ability (whether through Omatic Data Service or through API) to convert ZIP codes to a city and state.

Skip a record when using Omatic Data Service
Omatic Data Service can take a long time for PO Boxes or if we missed a blank zip code field. Would like the ability to skip the record while in the middle of the process so we can continue without having to start all over again.

Allow mapping of Import IDs for Timesheets
To help make sure I'm not importing duplicates, I'd like to be able to specify a Timesheet Import ID in my import file.

List Management command line export
We have made good use of the IOM command line capability to schedule and automate some of our Import and List Management processes. We would like to propose that the command line capability be expanded to include the ability to export lists from List Management. The would allow us to send list out for mailings or wealth screenings automatically and on a regular schedule.

Import Magic Folder files to an action record.
Currently you can map files to be imported to Magic Folders on constituent and gift records. I'd like to be able to import files to action records.

Auto-populate dictionary export filename based on dictionary name
When exporting a dictionary, the filename should be automatically populated with the dictionary name.
For bonus points: if an import option is ever added, the dictionary name should auto populate from the filename.
