FindOmatic
I hope everyone else who loves FindOmatic doesn't hate me for this, but... I'd be happy to pay for a more robust version. Powerful search is such a universal need, and this solution with even more capability would be immensely helpful. I would think FindOmatic could make an enormous difference for most BB users. Think of it as the "gateway drug" to other Omatic solutions. In addition to the suggestions already submitted, I have many others that I'd be willing to pay to have. Thanks!

Ability for a better Export Function in List Management
We are using List Management to hold acquisition data which can have contact attempted several times via different methods (TM, Email, DM).
Some people opt in more than once, and while List Management has enabled us to find these records and stop duplications, it is difficult to export all the data in the way our Marketing team wants.
It would be great to be able to export more like RE export function - exporting 1 row of data with multiple Appeals or Aliases (and being able to specify which one we want exported)

Alias match facility without adding as an alias if not existing on record.
At the moment you can only add to aliases, or match and add if it doesn't already exist. We would like to be able to use it as a search function WITHOUT subsequently adding it to the alias field if it isn't already there.

last gift date
IOM should have Last Gift Date as a column in the Duplicate Search Matching Results. If I am trying to figure out if 2 people with different addresses are really the same person it would help to know how long ago they gave their last gift.
3 votesThanks for your feedback regarding our duplicate search columns! In addition to last gift date, would any other gift-related columns be helpful? For example – last gift amount, or total gift amount?

List Management-Option to promote non-constituent record to full constituent during an import
Hi. It would be nice for Importomatic List Management to have an option or button to promote a non-constituent List Management record to a full constituent record during an import.
Right now when I am importing some records they will match up to non-constituent records. When they match up I like to click the link that takes me to the record so I can see more details. Sometimes I like to add notes to the record or add an alias while I have the record open during an import. For non-constituents, though, it will not let me add notes, aliases,…3 votes -
ability to Import packages directly to appeals without adding the appeal as an assigned appeal to a constituent record
When setting up appeals in Raiser's Edge, it would be nice to be able to import the packages in on a single Appeal.

Remove possible duplicates based on a query.
For example, I might have a query of records with no addresses. Or I might have a list of records that I recently added relationships between and now want them re-scanned, taking the relationships into account this time.
I normally choose to scan "All Records" and include only records that have not yet been scanned or have changed since the last scan. I want these records to be marked as "scanned" but I don't want to see them in the list of possible duplicates!

Ability to limit who can install an upgraded version of IOM
This should not be available to all users of Importomatic. This can help prevent an upgrade taking place on a users workstation before proper testing has been completed.

Remember if I've ignored an address change within this import
Sometimes the same address appears multiple times in the same file. If it's a small difference (and the one on the record is better) then the new address will get "Ignore"d by the user.
It would be good if IOM could remember that I'd ignored this change for this record within an import run. Maybe by taking a hash of the incoming address and storing that with the constituent ID?

Please have different similarity results filters when reviewing possible duplicates and when viewing duplicates to be merged
When I review possible duplicates I usually review just a narrow range of similarities scores at the same time...but when I review duplicates to be merged I want to see a wider range of similarity scores

New Emails not to overwrite existing emails
Allow newly imported email to become Email 1 while the existing database email automatically jumps to the next Email option available, such as Email 2, etc.

Findomatic- Searching by Nickname and last name/maiden name
have Findomatic search by nickname (which it does today), but also on Nickname + Last Name and Nickname + maiden name. The ability to search by nickname only is not beneficial when there could be thousands of records with a nickname like "Gene", but having the ability to search by nickname combined with last/maiden name will help further narrow down the results.

Import Multiple Events for Constituent, In One Import
Hi. I wish in Importomatic you could add a constituent to multiple events, in one import. I think right now you can only add one event at a time to a constituent record.
We have a mailing that we send out each year, inviting constituents to an event series. This event series is comprised of multiple events and dates. But we send out the invitation to all of them only once. In Raiser's edge we have multiple events set up for each separate event and date. We would like to record that they were "invited" to all the events, in…3 votes -
IOM should allow direct update/amendment of a RG gift on account details (CC/DD) without needing to populate/update all other RG fields..
IOM should allow direct update or amend of a RG gift on account details (CC/DD) without needing to populate all other requested RG fields as necessary. Our telemarketing RG declines program only needs to update RG's account details. So for RG amendment we only need Amendment Date, new/updated CC or DD details, and at most New Amount/Starting Date/Frequency. We don't need to update the existing Appeal/Package/Fund/Campaign etc - some of which have split gifts involved. But current IOM requests all these required fields in amendment.

Add new Constituent if score is below a certain threshold
We have a lot of records where the similiarity score is below 60, where we just add a new record. It would be great to automate the process where if the score is below a user-defined threshold to automatically add a new record.

Enable ability to refresh Calculated Recency dates after profile creation date
Ideally there would be an option to re-calculate Calculated Recency ranges when you Refresh the profile.
Currently, you cannot refresh the date ranges derived from Calculated Recency without actually removing and replacing the hierarchy, and then doing a re-sort. So a saved Profile that uses a Calculated Recency hierarchy is actually useless, since you need to remember to remove/re-add the hierarchy each time and you're almost re-creating it from scratch. You also can't currently "work ahead" to build out segments, since the "zero date" remains fixed on the insertion date.3 votes -
Alias Duplicate Searching
Hi. When someone gets married in our Raiser’s Edge database, we put the former name as an alias on the Alias button. For example, the person went from Ms. Jane Doe to Mrs. Jane Smith. When we search Raiser’s Edge and have the checkbox checked to check aliases, it will bring up the older name.
I wish Importomatic had an option to check for duplicates in the aliases field. In the “Configuration”, in the “Duplicate Criteria” section, when I click “Add” there is no Alias field option. There is an auto-match function for checking aliases. But I am afraid it…

Add exception folder browser to Import Processing screen
We do a daily three-pass import, and on Mondays we end up doing three imports (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday files). Since we end up with so many files (9 imports, and an exception file and an update file for each=18 files), it would be helpful if we could pick the exceptions/updates folder whenever we run the import. This way, we could keep each daily import in a separate folder, and run multiple imports concurrently. Right now, the exception and update files are named with the import time, so it ends up pretty messy if we have multiple concurrent imports.

We are currently evaluating how we can improve the experience and workflow around multiple pass imports. We would like to have a conversation to better understand your needs, what scenarios required multiple pass imports, and other pain points. You will have the opportunity interact with prototypes and shape the user experience for this feature. If you would like to talk with our Product Development team about this, please email: darinc@omaticsoftware.comThanks,
