Add option to load an appeal and all appeal packages in one step
Currently when assigning packages in the segmentation results window, each package has to be loaded individually before it can be assigned. For a mailing with 50+ packages this is tedious. Adding a new option to load an appeal and all the packages that are currently assigned to that appeal (in the appeal record) would be a logical and fast way to load many packages at the same time.

Ability to move profiles and heirarchy templates in the list
To maintain order in SOM, it would be very helpful to be able to change the list order of profiles and of hierarchy templates. It would be an extra bonus to be able to group them in "folders" of some kind. This would allow orderly management of these items. This is similar to the request made for ImportOmatic profiles to be reordered in the list; perhaps the same coding could accomplish both. Drag and drop functionality would be ideal.

Add option to export segmentation counts to Excel file
Team members working on a mailing often need the ability to review segmentation counts. These are displayed nicely in the segmentation results window, but there is no way to export this info and share with team members who do not have convenient access to SOM (except for screen capture). We would like to be able to share a full report of the segments, package assignments, and counts, at whatever state of assignment we have achieved, with our team members, preferably in an Excel file.

Allow option to search segmentation for specific record
There is no way to sort or search for specific records within a segmentation. Adding a search feature would allow team members to quickly find records to verify they have made it into the correct segmentation.

Enable ability to refresh Calculated Recency dates after profile creation date
Ideally there would be an option to re-calculate Calculated Recency ranges when you Refresh the profile.
Currently, you cannot refresh the date ranges derived from Calculated Recency without actually removing and replacing the hierarchy, and then doing a re-sort. So a saved Profile that uses a Calculated Recency hierarchy is actually useless, since you need to remember to remove/re-add the hierarchy each time and you're almost re-creating it from scratch. You also can't currently "work ahead" to build out segments, since the "zero date" remains fixed on the insertion date.3 votes -

Have a "Save" and a "Save and Close" option
Would be great if there were an option to save the SOM profile without closing the entire profile.

PLEASE give the appeal grid more love. Entirely too many clicks and keystrokes!
I literally just tested this out to count how many times I'm having to click through each field in the grid view (mostly to enter identical information, less the source code) and it is INSANE.
After a bit of testing, the least amount of clicks per row I can manage is 15 from Appeal to Package to Source. I have to do this for as many as 120 rows, depending on the request. I then have to go back through each row and paste an identical job number to each Comments cell - which has to all be double-clicked -…

Disable double click function
Diisable that double clicking a hierarchy in SOM causes it to refresh and open. Maybe change it to only being able to right click or something. I can’t seem to train my brain not to double click on the name.

Add a column indicating how long the profile took to run the last time.
It would be helpful to see how long a profile took to run the last time it was used. Having that as an additional field after Last Run/Modified/Created would be great so we could have an estimate of how long it will take to rerun the segment.

Update monetary heirarchy terms to match Raiser's Edge terminology
Examples: Change "Highest" to "Greatest" and Change "Last" to "Latest"

Clear Committed Appeals or add an option to commit multiple appeals to the same records in SOM
Once appeals are committed in SOM, there is no way to clear the committed check mark and recommit appeals to the same records without either first removing the original appeal or re-running the SOM profile.
When working with list management non-constituent records, where it is not possible to globally change or delete appeals from records, the only option would be to re-run the profile. If I want to make sure the exact same group gets the appeal committed to their record, there is no way to do this within SOM.

Allow n number of people to be assigned
We regularly have to limit our Appeals to n number of people.
We create Segments and assign Packages based on priority order and may have Packages unused or only partially filled.
In order to maximise utilisation we want to assign only a portion of a Segment to a Package. We currently do this by
selecting all of the Segment
Assign to all > Random
split the Segment between two Packages - one we want and one for dumping into (any of the Packages used for a sifferent Segment)
Unnasign from the dumping PackageIt would be good if there was…

Allow custom SQL database queries in segmentation
When creating query hierarchies, allow the user to choose either Raiser's Edge queries (as they can now) or create their own custom queries using SQL. The user-defined SQL query would always start with "SELECT ID from Records WHERE" and the user would be able to finish the query.
