    I second what Ellie said- We need to be able to add new address and move old to a designated prior address type and add end valid date.

    Another idea is to change the option to (or make a new option to) add old as attribute to, to "add old as email type: ***" and let us choose the appropriate email type OR say do the inverse of "assign to next available number" but put the option as add the import value as new and change existing to next available number.

    YES!!!! This is so important. Simply change add old as attribute to "add old as email type: ***" and let us choose the appropriate email type OR say do the inverse of "assign to next available number" but put the option as add the import value as new and change existing to next available number.
