Thanks for the idea. We do have a way that you can do what you are trying to accomplish now.
First, you can navigate to the Connections area of your organization’s instance and then create a 2nd Salesforce data source to your production Salesforce instance (name it differently to your current Salesforce Production data source).
Next, you can create a formula and choose your original Salesforce Production data source as one of your data sources and then your new (2nd) Salesforce Production data source to connect it to.
Then, you would choose Salesforce Report as the source in your formula type and map up the fields that are within your Salesforce Report to the objects/fields you need to update back into Salesforce.
We are curious about your scenario(s). Can you share what you are hoping to accomplish through this setup? Is this some type of data clean up activity you are performing, a “global” change/update, or some other scenario that you need to update your existing Salesforce data based on a report in that same Salesforce instance?
