Warn when a multi-condition If/Then is missing its grouping parentheses, and/or apply parenthesis automatically
Warn when a multi-condition If/Then is missing its grouping parentheses and/or apply parentheses automatically.
When an If/Then has more than one condition (two or more ORs or ANDs), P2GL requires Grouping parentheses: “(” on the first condition and “)” on the last. Without them, only the last condition is applied. The formula saves and runs with no error, and the results are quietly wrong.
Example: a condition of
IF AccountTypeCode is 45 OR 56 OR 57 THEN replace value A with value B
with no grouping changes only the type 57 rows. Those rows with types 45 and 56 were posted with the wrong value
Request: when a user saves an If/Then with more than one condition and no parentheses, show a warning, or (better) apply the parentheses automatically.
