An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Barnes commentedAs Gina says, this is pretty easy using custom code. Why don't ImportOmatic make it even easier by adding boilerplate code for this scenario?

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Barnes commentedThis is such an obvious feature, and (one would have thought) simple to implement. I can't believe it hasn't already been added. We need it because MergeOmatic adds aliases of 'old' consituent IDs. So if we're importing constituent IDs, we need to match against that alias if it exists, but not add the alias if it doesn't exist.

There are a few ways we can address this issue, based on current and planned functionality in ImportOmatic. If you haven’t already done so, we recommend adding Tags to your profiles, which will allow users to quickly filter to the profiles they want to see.
However, we’re also considering the ability to restrict profiles to specific users. We would love to hear more comments on how your team divides responsibility for different profiles. Do the same people who run a profile also create it? Do multiple people on a team need access to the same profile, but not other teams? What’s your scenario?
Thanks, and we’re looking forward to hearing more feedback!

It's a bit ridiculous no progress has been made on this in the last seven and a half years. This could be relatively easy to get most of the way to solving this. All it would need would be for ImportOmatic to prompt the user to generate a 'skip rows' or exception file when an import is cancelled. That way we could later easily import the rows not yet imported, without having to remember row numbers and edit files.
