How can we improve Omatic Cloud?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Rearrange grid columns & save column order

    In the upgraded Omatic Cloud, it'd be nice to be able to rearrange grid columns, and as another user mentioned, have the custom column order persist when a user leaves the page:

  2. Increase number of search scenarios

    Increase number of allowed search scenarios until Match Settings / Contact Match Search to more than five. Our use case is to match on ID (primary), then Name, Personal Email, Work Email, Alt Email, and Mailing Address.

    Hi Hannah - Thanks for your idea. One thing you may not be aware of is that with Salesforce if your object has more than 1 email address field then you can choose each of those email address fields when you create an Email or Name and Email match scenario. Thus instead of creating a match scenario for each of your email address fields in Salesforce you can create one match scenario and choose all of your email fields in that single match scenario. There is an implied OR between each of the email addresses when performing the search.

    For example, suppose I have 3 email address fields (per your description) in Salesforce: Work Email, Personal Email and Alt Email. Suppose my incoming email address is steve@myorgname.org. I then add an Email match scenario and choose each of those email address fields in my match scenario. When Omatic Cloud attempts to match on email address the query…

  3. Custom Routing to send some rows onto another Formula

    Sometimes it's necessary (or more convenient) to achieve our desired outcome by taking one file and running two different Formula across it.

    A common example would be files that have a mix of Individual and Organisation records. One Formula for the Individual import, and another formula to do the Organisation import - the Organisation import would add and link the individual as a Contact against that Organisation. Fancy.

    Right now custom routing lets us skip some rows, having the Formula ignore them. This let's us have our two import formulas, one for Individuals and one for Organisations.

  4. Allow adjustment or pre-set of row and column sizing

    Currently row and column sizing adjusts to the data in each field. This makes working difficult when importing large amounts of text in notes or actions, when the rows expand to beyond the length of a screen. If we could force a set length, adjust how much text is visible, or even the equivalent of de-selecting 'text wrapping' it would make it much easier to view the data.
    This would also approve reviewing data in 1:1 matches and similar, which currently resizes the columns whenever one is cleared that had a slightly longer entry in a field. Trying to quickly…

  5. Show "created by" and "last modified by" in NXT based on the Omatic Cloud user that did the action

    When processing data in Omatic Cloud it shows the last person to modify a record is based on the connection, not the user. We would like it to show it based on the Omatic Cloud user that processed the record in the formula.

  6. modify recurring

    Only have newly created recurring gift plans (NOT modified recurring gift plans) run through the integration. We're seeing gifts get caught in the filter when credit card information is updated, for example, but according to the support team there's currently no way to differentiate these from new gifts.

  7. Add connector for Wufoo online forms

    It would be worth looking into how to create a connector service to an online forms site where one can easily custom build an online form and link to RE fields. Wufoo is a great site to start with and has an existing API.

  8. make classy url available in connector

    The url of the Classy Fundraiser's Page is not available as a field to map in the Classy Connector and would be most useful to be able to capture. We have suggested this to Classy as well.

  10. It would be an improvement if we could have Payout date as an option for mapping.

    When bringing gifts over from classy the GL post date is not matching our deposit dates and this is causing issues with finance. If we had the ability to map the payout date to the GL post date that would make the financial process cleaner and much smoother without manual global changes.

  11. Pull Tribute Data from the Encompass Transactions

  12. Ability to map Action Notepad Type

    When importing CC data into NXT via Omatic, the default for Action Notepad Type is "Added via Web View". This default is not effective in allowing us to report to our Board and stakeholders outcomes. After uploading actions we will have to manually change this field.Having the option to define or map this field will give us richer data and better metrics to report on.

  14. Ability to map to Mailing ID and Finder Number on gift record

    These fields aren't available through the Blackbaud API, but we have numerous queries and reports that rely on them, dating back to when we first started using RE. We use the Mailing ID field to track the platform through which a gift was made, and the Finder Number field to identify constituents from acquisition mailing finder files. If we can't map to these fields in Omatic Cloud, it will require significant changes to our existing workflows. Currently, I'm adding this data to gift records with a Blackbaud import after importing through IOM+, which is not an efficient process.

  15. Inactivate old formulas

    It would be helpful to be able to inactivate old Omatic Cloud formulas. I would hate to lose the work by just deleting it, but the list is becoming a lot of noise.

  16. Another User Role for Running Formulas

    There is a User Role in Omatic Cloud for "Formula Producer" that grants "the ability to create, run, and modify all the formulas".

    It would be nice to have a role for only running a formula. There are times we want someone to be able to run a formula, but don't want them to edit it.

  17. Option to get user input when incoming data doesn't match existing data for specified fields

    We often have enough information to be confident that the incoming data matches a record in Salesforce. However, whether the better quality data for important fields is in Salesforce or the incoming data is unknown. So we can't confidently overwrite data without a manual validation.

    For example, P Ennals might match to Peter Ennals. I am happy this is a valid match and therefore want to set it as a ready record. However, I don't want P to overwrite Peter.

    The functionality could be such that I specify per formula which fields require manual validation. E.g. for records where name…

  18. additional -- useful -- logic operators in P2GL

    Can we add some additional -- useful -- logic operators to P2GL?

    *Not Blank
    *Does Not Contain

    Blank and Not Blank are especially useful. Today, without them, we're forced to use 'Equal' or 'Does Not Equal' and then compare that to an unpopulated field. Sometimes, however, if there are spaces in a field, it might look to be blank but isn't really.

    All and all, it's just safer and more efficient to have 'Blank' and 'Not Blank' operators.

    'Does Not Contain' is useful for working against alphanumeric data, and would prevent needing to use more complicated 'If/Then' or 'True/False'…

  19. Support for line break character (/n)

    Right now we can add line breaks through Concatenation, but there isnt a simple way to force a line break in some more complex situations.

    We use this particularly for notepad text, where we want to summarise a few cells of data into a single notepad, e.g.

    'Signed up for Email Newsletter on the website. /n
    First Name Provided: Alex /n
    Surname Provided: Bishop-Thorpe /n
    Email address provided: alex.bishop-thorpe@'

    Importimatic supported '/n' as a line break character, but this isnt supported by Omatic Cloud. Instead it just renders the text '/n'. If we use the line break as the separator…

  20. Auto-delete/omit new records

    Allow processing to delete New Records bucket automatically or omit new records. I don't want new records added to my system.
