How can we improve Omatic Cloud?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. View API Name in Object Picker

    When selecting fields in the Object Picker, some of them have the same label but different API names. For example, we can have City (MailingCity) or City (City_Employer). It would be extremely helpful if we could hover over the field and see the actual API name to ensure we're mapping to the right field, rather than needing to do a lot of trial and error testing.

  2. Ability to copy detail rows

    Need the ability to copy detail rows in as well as pre-processing rows. Very often, most configurations in multiple rows are the same, with the exception of only a few things (or sometimes just one thing) that needs to be changed. The ability to copy a detail row or a pre-processing row, and then change one or two configuration items, would save a great amount of time in configuring complex formulas.

  3. Allowing the formula to auto match based on a spouse in a record.

    Example: The file I'm importing the donor name is Laura Smith but in RE NXT we have a donor of Robert Smith with spouse of Laura Smith. When these come through Omatic Cloud they are 1:1 matches but we still have to look at every single one by opening the RE record to ensure the spouse is on there. Is there a way to make the formula automatically match it if the spouse matches and the address matches?

  4. matching gift pledges

    Omatic Cloud needs the ability to enter matching gift pledges and matching gift pledge payments. Currently the feature is only available with Importomatic and with database view sunsetting in the near feature we need to have more functionability.

  5. LO Donation Form Filter Improvement

    I'd like a better filter for donation forms. We have multiple donation forms in LO (e.g. restricted, unrestricted, monthly first, etc) and I've had to create formulas that fit the needs of those forms and it's difficult to have to keep adding them every time there is a new form and to add them in the correct formula. It's time consuming and also we have a lot of missing donations when we forget to add a donation form and have to add them and rerun the formula after the fact again.

  6. Ability to reprocess one record of selected group of records in Exceptions

    We would love to see the ability to reprocess only single records or a selected group of records from exceptions. For instance, in our exceptions bucket, there is a mix of legitimate exceptions, and RE token expired exceptions. We'd love to just be able to reprocess the token expired ones and leave the legitimate exceptions in the bucket.

  7. Update fields with blank values

    We would like to have the functionality for Omatic Cloud to update fields with Blank values in from Luminate --> Salesforce and vice versa from Salesforce --> Luminate. Blank values have meaning in both of our databases so this functionality would be extremely useful.

  8. Delete from queue when Ready

    I have a formula to look at Mailchimp activity and add a Mailchimp ID Alias in RE/NXT. In the Triage rules, if there's a 1:1 Match on only this alias it goes into the Ready bucket.

    My current options for the Ready bucket are to hold for review or immediately send the alias into RE. Because it's already there, sending it again doesn't make sense. I'd much rather Delete anything that gets into that Ready bucket because the relevant data is already there. Am I missing something?

  9. RENXT to HubSpot Export: HubSpot Additional Email Match

    During an export from RENXT to HubSpot it looks like Omatic currently only looks for email matches for the email that is marked as "Primary" in HubSpot. Is it possible to consider the "Additional Emails" in HubSpot, to reduce the risk of duplicates being created?

  11. Excessive number of duplicates - when donors give twice within same flat file

    If a donor donates twice within the same flat file, Omatic Cloud will generate duplicate records for that donor in Raiser's Edge (because it sends records all at once). In contrast, ImportOmatic sends records one at a time, so if a new donor gives twice, it will be matched the second time.

    This is especially problematic for events, when a donor will both buy a registration ticket and make a donation within the same flat file. Multiply this by the majority of the attendees for the event and it results in an excessive number of duplicates. This is a big…

    Omatic Actions Sync in RENXT from Omatic Cloud to RENXT WebView: Custom fields with a value of a Link to a record

    As you are moving away from DB view, so will Omatic move away from using Profiles in the IOM Database view system. It will start using the cloud version which connects to RENXT Web View.

    In DB view you can add Actions with Action Custom Fields that connect to records. I am expecting that this functionality will also be available soon in the Cloud API for Omatic. It is not currently available.

  14. Omatic Data Service

    We currently have a subscription to Omatic Data Service with IOM to find fuzzy match duplicates during import. This service has been critical in reducing the number of duplicates created in the database. Will ODS be available in IOM+? I'm concerned that duplicate records will start to increase without it. This becomes a big issue after year-end when preparing tax receipt letters if donors have gifts spread over multiple records.

  15. Set Start Datetime to the Datetime of Last Ingested Transaction

    Can we add an option to set the start date and time for formulas to use the datetime of the last ingested transaction, rather than the last job's end datetime?

    This is especially helpful for Continuous formulas where a new gift may be added or updated while the formula is running, and now falls outside the new start datetime.

  17. Formula Tabs Across Users

    At the moment organising the formulas in tabs is a per user setting.

    When working in a team, it is useful to categorise them to assist with daily processes, systems, frequencies, etc...

    It would be great to be able to have the tabs shared across all users in the environment.

  19. Update the Engaging Networks / Raiser's Edge connector to allow mapping to the Origin Source field in Engaging Networks

    There is a field in Engaging Networks called Origin Source which shows what caused someone to sign up to our mailing list. I would like to be able to bring this information from EN to RE, as well as push information from RE to EN if we are uploading new records).

    Hi Sonia,

    Thanks for your suggestion here.  We are currently reviewing this idea.  From our research it appears as though the Origin Source may only come from the Bulk Export API (which is what Omatic uses to pull data from Engaging Networks) on the transaction that created the constituent in Engaging Networks.  I am trying to find more information about this.  As a result, I want to confirm how you intend to use this field so we can be sure we are considering your use case.  

    Can you share when you intend to use this origin source data?  Is this donation transactions or some other type of transaction that you are pulling from Engaging Networks that you hope to have this field available to use?  Anything else you can share about your intent and intended use would be helpful.

  20. Add fields to Altru connector (particularly Volunteer)

    There is no import template available in Altru to import into a Volunteer record. This would be a gamechanger for our organization as we will have to manually enter and match volunteer data. We have the pathways set up in Omatic Cloud and we will not have enough data to warrant using ImportOmatic.

    There are other fields that we have come across that would be helpful as well. I have not noticed any updates made to the Altru connector other than the move from OIC to Omatic Cloud. I am happy to share other fields that would be helpful if…
